Whether you’re an iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows Mobile user it has become clear that the ‘app’ is here to stay. What began as goofy gimmicks and games are now a tsunami of options and opportunities for mobile device addicts. Mary Meeker, former Morgan Stanley analyst, spoke at a Google event recently about mobile marketing. Meeker noted that so far it has been difficult for mobile publishers to create consistent ad-based revenue because of high costs to do so. On the other hand she states that mobile advertising is more efficient than in other types of media across measures like reach, engagement and targeting.
